
Peggy Brengle is a graduate of Maryville College (Maryville, TN) with a Bachelor of Music Education degree and holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She received a Master of Science degree and administrative certification from Western Maryland College (McDaniel College). She is retired from teaching music and as a library media specialist for Carroll County Public Schools.
Currently, Peggy is the organist and handbell director at Westminster United Methodist Church. She is on staff at McDaniel College as a collaborative pianist. Additionally, she accompanies school choruses and local artists. Peggy is a solo/duet recitalist on both piano and organ, performing in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New York including, most notably, the Cathedral of St. Augustine in Florida, St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City, and the historic Bruton Parish in Williamsburg, VA. In August 2024, Peggy was cathedral organist for a week at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin, Ireland.
Peggy is a member of the American Guild of Organists (AGO), having completed the Colleague certification. She is the Dean of the Central Maryland Chapter.
