Thank you for your interest in joining the Chorale! We welcome all singers of all voice ranges and experience. New singers will go through a Voice Placement process, which is a 10-minute session with our Artistic Director to get an idea of your vocal range and timbre and to determine where you’ll be placed in the choir formation for the best sound.
Our rehearsals are currently every Monday from 7:00-9:30 PM in Winters Mill High School’s choral music room. Fall concert rehearsals generally run from end of August to mid-November or early December and our spring rehearsals from end of January to late April or early May, ending with a Sunday afternoon concert in November or December and April or May, respectively. In the past, we have also done holiday benefit concerts in December.
All members must pay dues of $40 per concert during registration or within the first three rehearsals.
As of January 2023, masks are optional for all singers with proof of vaccination and required for unvaccinated folks. The Board periodically reevaluates mask measures as case and hospitalization rates change in the county and in accordance with the Carroll County Health Department and CDC.
